This course will equip you with the skills and confidence to run your own rewarding yoga classes. You will learn to adjust your students individually, with compassion and integrity. You will find your unique voice, making you stand out from your peers.

The centre is in the secluded hills of Bulgaria, which is part of the Balkan mountain range. The area is a nature reserve and abundant in wildlife. We overlook the spa town of Voneshta Voda (Stinky Waters) famous throughout Europe for its mineral waters.

We look  across the beautiful Balkan Mountains in all directions. The centre is private and peaceful and is the perfect location to immerse yourself in your practice and studies. There is a small pool, and the grounds are large and unoverlooked. The garden faces South, making it sunny all day.  We have our own orchard and plenty of space to relax in your free time.

The house is a modernised traditional farm house. The rooms have walk in showers, and you will usually share the room with one other student. The huge barn was converted into the yoga studio and has windows overlooking the mountain.

Your yoga teacher training course is residential and includes all meals at the centre. We are vegetarian and vegan, and can adapt menus as needed.

Your course is a comprehensive immersion and you will acquire the confidence and skills to set up and run your own successful and rewarding yoga classes.

Your course will cover all aspects of teaching yoga and includes:

Studying the Yoga philosophy of Patanjali, The Hatha Yoga Pradipika, The Bhagavad Gita, and an introduction to the Yoga Yajnavalkya. We do this through presentations, group discussions and written evidence.

You will be schooled in the art of Vinyasa Krama. This is a system of building intelligent yoga classes for a group, which also allows you to cater for individuals within the group. You will learn how to adapt classes and postures to various classes and levels. We cover the standing and seated postures of the Ashtanga Vinyasa sequence up to Navasana.  You don’t need any prior knowledge of the sequence to participate, as full training is provided. We learn the alignment of each posture, both universally and individually, and include an understanding of the anatomy of each posture.

We study the subtle body through lectures and how to integrate it into our daily practice.  We start the day with our shat karma practice, which includes nauli, kapalabhati, udiyyana bandha, mulha bandha and  jalandhara bandha. These practices work directly on the subtle body through the nadis, cleansing and purifying the subtle energy channels. You will have the opportunity to practice kunjal kriya, which is voluntary. You won’t need any prior knowledge, as full training is provided

We look at the business of yoga and how to market yourself ethically and productively. You will discover what is unique about you, and how you can use your uniqueness to stand out from your peers. We do this through written exercises and lectures. By the end of the course you will be confident in promoting yourself, through what makes you different, not by competing.

We will take a fresh look at our practice through led and self-practice classes. We will take an in depth look at ourselves through our practice and study, this will be a journey of self-discovery.

Your knowledge and understanding of yoga will exceed expectations. We will enable you to leave with the confidence and skill ready to take on your own classes.  You will acquire the professionalism to react calmly and confidently it a variety of situations.

We have  been running yoga courses and holidays at our fully equipped European yoga teacher training centre for 13 years. Your course teacher Martin Thompson has a personal practice of 45 years and will be assisted by one of his teaching staff, who all hold a minimum of 700 certified training hours.
